Central Court provides our second-stage housing, comprising semi–independent shared accommodation. While many residents move to Central Court from the hostel, we also accommodate individuals who have previously lived independently but are now homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Residents at Central Court are encouraged to take increased responsibility for their day-to-day living. This includes managing personal finances, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and organised living environment. Staff are still available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year ensuring consistent support. They can provide assistance with accessing benefits, liaising with external agencies, and developing the skills needed for independent living, helping residents to transition into secure and suitable housing when  they are ready.

Norman Salisbury Court is an independent living scheme operated by YMCA St Helens, comprising 44 self-contained, single-occupancy flats located on the corner of Crab Street and North Road. The scheme offers safe, comfortable, and affordable accommodation for adults who are ready to manage their own tenancy and live independently within a stable environment.
