YMCA St Helens is working in partnership with St Helens Council to provide the Crash Pads project for people sleeping rough in St Helens.

The Crash Pad is the new service for rough sleepers, its intention is to prevent rough sleeping and provide a safe place for people to stay in an emergency and support a quicker referral into services.

YMCA St Helens will provide 3 crash pads at our North Road base and the accommodation will be fully accessible and comply with DDA.

The crash pad will only be used for very short occupancy as it is vital we keep it free for rough sleepers.

The crash pads will be managed by YMCA St Helens and referrals will come from the Rough Sleeping Coordinator George Maines, the trailblazer service and Housing options.

Applicants will present at the YMCA before 6pm if referred by Housing Options and before 10pm if referred by other services and any relevant paperwork will be completed.
